Matthew was two weeks yesterday, so that means it's been that long since I've posted! Actually, longer since Nathan was actually the one to post about his birth :-) Things are going well here. I'm exhausted, but mostly because we've already been to Beijing and back! Also, he has been a bit gassy at night, so haven't been having the most sleep, but that's to be expected, right? Not a bunch of time now, but wanted to post some pics I took yesterday.

Maternity Pics

As I mentioned before, my friend Kiley is an awesome photographer. I felt so honored that she wanted to do my pictures. They turned out better than I ever could have imagined.

Teething?

In case you were wondering, no baby yet.

On the other hand, we had another surprise.

The past few days, Lizbeth has been exceptionally clingy to me. This from a kid who is pretty much never clingy. We chalked it up to her sensing the upcoming changes with the baby. Then yesterday, after we came home from a large gathering (with several little kids) she cried until I held her, and then fell asleep on my chest in the middle of the living room. Another thing she never does. I started thinking about it and realized she hadn't wanted to eat all day, and might feel a little warm. The thermometer confirmed a fever over 100 F. I suddenly felt terrible for not realizing she was down and taking her out to play with other kids.

Well, a nap later and a little tylenol, our daughter was back to normal. I entirely expected her to crash after the meds wore off, but instead she seemed like her regular self.

Today she was a bit clingier and mopey than average, but nothing alarming. Except that she saw an old binky laying around and cried when we didn't let her have it until we washed it. An utter meltdown. I was perplexed.

When I came home later that afternoon (after her nap) this is what I found.

What? Silly girl.

Suddenly it dawned on me. Teeth? Sure enough, an inspection of her mouth found her third two year old molar just popped though.

Poor thing. Such timing.
