So in High School, my little brother got a car. My little sister got a horse. Me?

Actually, I can't complain. I had a boy to drive me around everywhere :-).

But on to my little sister's horse...

She's a beauty, isn't she? Lizbeth really seemed to like her too, and we were able to snag a few pics of them together both last summer and at Chinese New Year.

The Hat Game

What is it about hats that make kids want to take them off? I remember when I was young always knocking off my friends' hats (I'm sure it was more than a little annoying). And every time I wear a hat my little friends want to steal it themselves.

Apparently this game is attractive to even the very young. Below is a photo series of Lizbeth playing this game with her grandpa, and even daddy later on. She was laughing so hard, and we were all laughing along with. I thought it was so cute I'd share it with all.

The Hat has been spotted...

Chinese New Year

You may have wondered why I suddenly dropped off the face of the planet for three weeks. Or maybe not, since it doesn't seem to be unusual for me. :-) In any case, with Lizbeth growing so quickly, we decided to spend our two week Chinese New Year holiday in the States catching up with her grandparents.

Once we returned, Lizbeth came down with a 103 fever and stomach flu leaving her miserable and not wanting me five feet away. Even daytime naps took place on my lap.

Finally she woke up today, fever gone and eyes a little clearer. As I speak she is taking a little nap in her crib, finally giving me a few minutes to get up a few pictures.

We had a great trip. Lizbeth was a trooper other than refusing to change time zones. Most nights she was up til between 2:30 and 3:00 AM, which is between 6:30 and 7:00 China time, only an hour off her normal bedtime. This led to a bit of exhaustion, but still plenty of time to enjoy sharing her with the family. She loved all of the attention and I actually think will miss them all. I know I will.

Well, hope you enjoy the pics. To see them full size with comments, click here.
